BEVIS, IAN PERCY Korea Casualty
Four members of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) on garrison duty in Korea. Left to right: 6997 Private (Pte) Ian Percy Bevis, of Hobart, Tas; Pte Ian Burke (?); 28305 Pte James Edward (Jim) Crawford; and 28530 Pte Ivan Hall. Pte Bevis was later killed in a motor vehicle accident in Korea on 22 January 1956. Pte Hall served with 1RAR on a previous tour of duty in 1952, and saw active service in the Samichon Valley.
