SEATON, JOHN LESTER Korea Casualty
Born 30th August 1926 Kuala Lumpur Malaya and had previously served in the British army. He was given the rank of Lieutenant when he enlisted in the Australian army in 1951. He was killed in action on the 12th November 1952 while leading a fighting patrol he was hit by an enemy grenade. He was mentioned in despatches for great leadership and courage as a patrol commander. SEATON. - On November 12. 1952 Lieut. John Lester, 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, dearly loved elder son of Mr. and Mrs Seaton, Blaokmans Bay and loved brother of Peter and Rosemary. Killed In action in Korea.
