Quinn, Daniel Augustine

Born Hobart Tasmania, the 5th son of John Quinn, a fireman he embarked Brisbane 29^th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aneas with the 26^th Infantry Battallion.

He served in Gallipoli and on the 11^th December 1915 he was promoted to Lance Corporal. He departed Gallipoli 21^st March 1916 for France and was killed in action at Sausage Valley, Pozieres on the 28^th July 1916. He is commemorated in the London Cemetery and Extension, Longueval, France.

QUINN. — Killed in action in France, on July 28, 1916, Lance-Corpora! Daniel Augustine (Dan) Quinn, of the 26th Batt. A.I.F.. fifth dearly beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. John Quinn, Dallow, Anglesea street, Hobart, aged 23 years. R.I.P.
