Allen, Leonard Oliver
Born 25th September 1875 Port Sorell Tasmania the son of Osborne and Elizabeth Margaret Allen (nee Oliver) married to Mary Aspell a miner he embarked Melbourne 25th May 1916 on board “HMAT Warilda” with the No 4 Tunnelling Company. On the 16th August 1916 he was admitted to the No 2 Command Depot Weymouth and diagnosed with tuberculosis in both lungs. He left England 9th September 1916 on board Hospital Ship “Kanowna” for return to Australia for medical discharge. He arrived in Tasmania on the 28th October 1916 and was discharged as being medically unfit on the 10th May 1917. He died 18th September 1918 at Derby Tasmania and was buried in the Branxholm Derby Cemetery, Branxholm, Tasmania, Australia
