Allen, Paul

Born 28^th August 1897 Glamorgan Tasmania to Egbert and Lucy Allen (nee Thornbury) a farmer who departed Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.He was serving with the 51^st Infantry Battalion when he died 3^rd April 1917 from wounds received on the field and was buried in the Pozieres British Cemetery Ovillers-La Boisselle, France.

His brother Pte Edwin Allen (No 329) was killed in action 28^th July 1917 and buried in the Kandahar Farm Cemetery, Belgium.
