Anderson Franklin

 

 

Born 1898 Burnie Tasmania the son Edward Robert and Mary Jane Anderson (nee Manson) of a seaman he enlisted South Australia and embarked Adelaide 21st September 1915 on board “HMAT Star of England” with the 7th Infantry Brigade.

 

He had three brothers fighting at the front.

 

He was serving with the 26th Battalion when he was killed in action 18th July 1918 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
