Anderson, Kenneth Henry

 

 Lieutenant Kenneth Henry Anderson, 15 Battalion, who on 9 May 1915 was killed in action at Anzac. Other details concerning him are: mining engineer; of Hobart and Zeehan, Tasmania; born Hobart. 15 January 1895; enlisted in the AIF on 23 January 1915 and appointed 2nd Lieutenant in the 15 Battalion, leaving Australia on 13 February 1915 with the 3rd reinforcements.

Kenneth Henry Anderson was the brother of 1040 Private Donald James Carey Anderson - see 2DRL/0165

Lieutenant Kenneth Henry Anderson, whose death at the Dardanelles is reported in today's casualty list, was the third son of the Rev. H.H. Anderson. He was horn in Hobart in the year l895 and was educated at the Hutchins School, of which his father was headmaster. On leaving school he went to Zeehan, and then was for some time in the service of the A.M.P. Society. At the time of his enlistment he was employed in the office of the Rosebery tin mine. There are many, both in Hobart and on the West Coast, who will be sincerely sorry to hear that his name has been added to the list of fallen.
