If you could spare a few dollars to help with the running costs of hosting this website to keep it alive would be very much appreciated.

Thankyou from Gravesites of Tasmania in advance.

Andrews, Alan Robert

Born 1897 Ringarooma Tasmania to Joseph and Anna Jane Andrews (nee Haslett) a farm assistant he embarked Melbourne 5th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 25th July 1916 and like others with no known grave is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.

A service was held on Sunday in the Ringaroomna Methodist Church by the Rev. Mr. Dixon to the memory of the late Private Allen Andrews, who was recently killed in action in France. The Druids' Lodge members in regalia and members of the Rifle Club headed by the local Brass Band, formed a procession and marched to the church, which was filled.
