Appleby, Richard

Born 1883 Latrobe Tasmania the son of Robert Samuel and Sarah Ann Appleby (nee Swan) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 18^th February 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 10^th April 1917 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
