Appleby, William Walter

Born 17^th April 1887 Westbury Tasmania to Robert and Sarah Ann Appleby (nee Swan) and married to Ethel Elizabeth Reid a farmer who departed Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 4^th December 1916 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France
