Archie, Bertie Vernon

 

Born 16th April 1894 Fingal Tasmania to George and Harriett Archie (nee Rigden) a farm labourer  he embarked Hobart 8th August 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 He was killed in action 7th June 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the Bethleem Farm West Cemetery, Belgium.
