Arnot, James Allan
He was born Prestonpans Scotland but living with his mother in Launceston Tasmania, a labourer who had served with the Cameron Highlanders and the Royal Engineers for 3 years. Sgt Arnot was serving with the 15th Battalion when he was wounded at Gallipoli and transferred to the Ras El Tin Hospital Alexandria with gunshot wounds to the right wrist and hip. He died 4th July 1915 and was buried in the Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
