Atkinson Thomas Christopher

He was born Ballarat Victoria the son of Thomas Richard Atkinson but living in Moina Tasmania and working as a miner when he enlisted at Pontville Tasmania. He departed Melbourne 22^nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Ceramic” with the 15^th Infantry Battalion.

He died 2^nd May 1915 at sea on board HMT “Dongola” from a gunshot wound to the abdomen received on the Gallipoli Peninsula and was buried at sea. He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
