Atwell, Frederick Herbert

Born 27^th November 1887 Hobart Tasmania the son of William and Harriet Atwell (nee Fitzroy) a roadman who embarked Fremantle 26^th June 1915 on board “HMAT Wandilla” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 26^th July 1916 in France when he was buried by a shell at Pozieres and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux.
