Bailey, Robert Henry

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Born 1894 Tamworth New South Wales the son of Robert Henry and Mary Jane Bailey (nee Wright) a labourer living with his family in Burnie Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 8th February 1916 on board “HMAT Warilda” with the 24th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 5th August 1916 at Pozieres in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux
