Baker, George
Studio portrait of 1780 Private (Pte) George Baker, 26th Battalion, of Mathinna, Tas. Formerly a Railway repairer, Pte Baker enlisted on 21 May 1915, and as a member of the 2nd Reinforcements he embarked from Melbourne, Vic, aboard HMAT Orsova (A67) on 17 July 1915. He served on the Western Front and he was killed in action in France on 11 April 1918.
