Baker, George Albert

Born 21^st August 1888 Victoria Australia the son of Robert and Sarah Baker (nee Redman) a miner from Tullah Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 27^th October 1915 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 15^th Infantry Battalion.

He was appointed Lance Corporal 14^th January 1917

He was killed in action 11^th April 1917 at Bullecourt in France (previously reported missing) and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
