Balaam, Albert James
Born 1892 Ixworth Suffolk England to George and Sarah Balaam (nee Marsh) a gardener he embarked Melbourne 16th December 1916 on board “HMAT Medic” with the 6th Machine Gun Company. He was serving with the 24th Machine Gun Company when he was killed in action 1st October 1916 and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium
