Balaam, Albert James

Born 1892 Ixworth Suffolk England to George and Sarah Balaam (nee Marsh) a gardener he embarked Melbourne 16^th December 1916 on board “HMAT Medic” with the 6^th Machine Gun Company.

 He was serving with the 24^th Machine Gun Company when he was killed in action 1^st October 1916 and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium
