Barnard, Arthur Victor

Born 31^st October 1895 Deloraine Tasmania to Arthur and Alice Barnard (nee Bailey) a motor mechanic who departed Hobart 20^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Katuna” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

Warrant Officer Barnard was walking back from Zonnebeke to headquarters when he was wounded in both legs from a shell and later died at the 12^th Australian Field Ambulance 22^nd October 1917 and was buried in the Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Belgium.
