Barrenger, Aeneas Henry
Born 16th June 1896 Beaconsfield Tasmania to Ernest Alfred and Eliza Ann Barrenger (nee Merritt) he was an engine cleaner when he enlisted. Departed Melbourne 24th August 1916 on “HMAT Botanist” with the 12th Infantry Battalion
He was admitted to the 9th General Hospital Rouen France with severe gunshot wounds to the right arm and shoulder. He died from those wounds and septicaemia on 14th April 1917. He was buried in the St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen.
