Barton, Roy Cyril

Born 1890 Launceston Tasmania the son of Gilbert and Mary Barton a driver who embarked Melbourne 20^th October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Lincoln” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion

He died 22nd September 1917 in Belgium of gunshot wounds to the back and stomach received in Polygon Wood and was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
