Batchelor, Archibald Walter

Born 1894 Port Cygnet Tasmania to George John James and Annie Alice Batchelor (nee Woodward) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 27^th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion. He was appointed sergeant nine days before he was killed in action.

Sergeant Batchelor was killed in action 13^th November 1916 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
