Beaumont, Ernest James
Born 15th June 1894 Don Tasmania Tasmania to James and Eliza Ann Beaumont (nee Hawthan) a labourer who embarked Melbourne 22nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Borda” with the 1 Divisional Ammunition Column and the service number 3449.
He was later transferred to the 3rd Field Company Engineers and given the service number 231. He was admitted 10th April 1915 to the No 1 Australian Hospital on Lemnos Island and transferred a week later to the 15th General Hospital Alexandria with pneumonia. He died 25th April 1915 and was buried in the Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
