Beaumont, Ernest James

Born 15^th June 1894 Don Tasmania Tasmania to James and Eliza Ann Beaumont (nee Hawthan) a labourer who embarked Melbourne 22^nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Borda” with the 1 Divisional Ammunition Column and the service number 3449.

He was later transferred to the 3^rd Field Company Engineers and given the service number 231.

He was admitted 10^th April 1915 to the No 1 Australian Hospital on Lemnos Island and transferred a week later to the 15^th General Hospital Alexandria with pneumonia. He died 25^th April 1915 and was buried in the Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
