Beck, Alfred Keith
He was born 1897 Launceston Tasmania to Alfred Henry and Kate Mary Beck (nee Ballard) an engineer who was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Military Cadets and departed Melbourne 22nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 3rd Field Company Engineers and the rank of Corporal. Sgt Beck was killed in action 5th June 1918 and is commemorated in the Le Peuplier Military Cemetery, Caestre, France.
