Bessell, Clarence Edwin

Born 16th March 1894 Lisle Tasmania to Alfred Ernest and Elizabeth Bessell (nee Tallent) a sawmill hand he embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 5^th October 1917 and like others with no known grave is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
