Beswick, Morton Ernest

Born 12^th September 1897 Ulverstone Tasmania the son of James Thomas and Harriet Beswick (nee Clark) a labourer he embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 28^th March 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, Peronne, France

His brother Pte Leslie James Beswick (No 1246) was killed in action 18^th November 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
