Beswick, Morton Ernest

 

 

 

Born 12th September 1897 Ulverstone Tasmania the son of James Thomas and Harriet Beswick (nee Clark) a labourer he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 28th March 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, Peronne, France

 

His brother Pte Leslie James Beswick (No 1246) was killed in action 18th November 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
