Bethel Robert James Joseph
Born 12th September 1896 Ringarooma Tasmania to Michael John and Edith Mary Elizabeth Bethel (nee Torley) a butcher who departed Melbourne 22nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 14th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in action on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is buried in the 7th Field Ambulance Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey. He was 18 years old when he died.
