Bethel, Wilfred Michael
Born 17th March 1894 Moorina Tasmania to Michael John and Edith Mary Elizabeth Bethel (nee Torley) a draper’s assistant who embarked Melbourne 29th December 1915 on board “HMAT Demosthenes” with the 15th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in action 7th August 1916 at Pozieres France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
