Bickerton Henry

Private Henry Bickerton

 

Born Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham, England, a 19 year old sailor he listed his next of kin as his sister Miss A Bickerton, 39 Craddoc Street, Bishop Auckland, Durham, England, a sailor he embarked Melbourne 20th October 1915 on board “HMAT Port Lincoln” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. 

 

He was killed in action 8th October 1917 at Passchendaele and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial (Panel 17), Belgium
