Bickham, Clifford William George

 

 

 

Born 1897 Lefroy Tasmania the son of Henry and Mary Ann Bickham (nee Wilkie) a miner he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 7th June 1917 at Messines and is commemorated in the Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium.

 His brother Corporal Charles Henry Bickham (No 784B) was also killed in action in Belgium on the 12th October 1917 and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
