Birnie, Frederick Reginald

Born 1897 Launceston Tasmania the son of George and Annie Birnie (nee Buckley) an iron moulder he embarked Hobart 13^th December 1915 on board “HMAT Ajana” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion.

Lance Corporal Birnie died 2^nd January 1917 at the 38^th Casualty Clearing Station France from broncho pneumonia in and was buried in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, France.
