Birnie, Frederick Reginald
Born 1897 Launceston Tasmania the son of George and Annie Birnie (nee Buckley) an iron moulder he embarked Hobart 13th December 1915 on board “HMAT Ajana” with the 26th Infantry Battalion. Lance Corporal Birnie died 2nd January 1917 at the 38th Casualty Clearing Station France from broncho pneumonia in and was buried in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, France.
