Studio portrait of 6712 Private (Pte) Oscar Gordon Bishop, 12th Battalion, of Ulverstone, Tas. A farmer prior to enlisting in August 1916, Pte Bishop embarked from Melbourne with the 22nd Reinforcements on board HMAT Palermo (A56) on 30 September 1916. He was killed in action at Bullecourt, France, between 5 and 8 May 1917. Pte Bishop was 21 years of age.
