A correspondent at Bagdad writes

The report of the death of Lieutenant Blacklow in action was received with general regret. He was an orohardist. He was the centre of attraction in all football and cricket teams of which he was a member and his performances stamped him as a first-class athlete. The deceased officer's brother, Lieutenant Colonel A. C. Blacklow, D.S.O., belongs to a machine-gun corps, and is at present in France. Ho is a fine rifle- man, and was a member of an

Australian Bisley team.
