Blackwood Alex William Hugh

 

 

Born 1893 Hobart Tasmania the son of William Henry and Elizabeth Blackwood (nee Millar) a farmer from Collinsvale Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 27th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 26th Infantry Battalion

 

He was killed in action 19th May 1916 in France and is commemorated in the Ration Farm Military Cemetery, La Chapelle-Darmentieres, France
