Born 26^th February 1895 Bellerive Tasmania the son of Arthur Tabrun and Rosina Blyth (nee Cavey) of Partridge Island Port Esperance a farmer he embarked Hobart 10^th December 1915 on board “HMAT Ajana” with the 12^th Battalion.

He was killed in action 20^th June 1916 in France and is commemorated in the Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France.

His brother Mervyn Stafford Blyth (No 986) who was serving with the 3^rd Light Horse was killed in action 23^rd December 1916 in Egypt and is commemorated on the Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
