Bowen Arthur Gordon
Born 1895 Launceston Tasmania the son of James and Susannah Bowen (nee Brusniahan) a seaman he enlisted 23rd December 1916 and entered Claremont Camp where he was allocated to the 40th Battalion.
He died 27th June 1916 at the Hobart General Hospital from spinal cerebro meningitis and was buried in Cornelian Bay Public Cemetery, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia BOWEN. -On June 27, 1916, at Hobart, Private Arthur Gordon Bowen, of the Australian Imperial Force, and dearly loved youngest son of James Bowen, of George- street and H.M. Customs, Launceston, late of Hobart, aged 21 years.
