WW1
Bramich Arthur Walter
He was born Flowerdale Tasmania the son of Walter Henry and Hannah Frances Bramich, a farmer, who departed Melbourne 27th October 1915 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 26th Infantry Battalion. He was serving with the 12th Infantry Battalion when he was killed in action at Pozieres and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France. Another stalwart son of Empire has made the great sacrifice in the person of the late Arthur Bramich of Boat Harbor. ''Jack,' as he was named by those who knew Him best, was a fine stamp of athletic manhood, and his character was in keeping with his physical gifts— of the best. He was one of the famous 12th, having answerered the call of duty some 12 months ago. At the early age of 23 he has answered the great roll call, and answered it nobly. The sympathy extended to Mr. and Mrs Bramich and family is universal and widespread. Another son, Leo is with the forces in Egypt. The North Western Advocate 22nd August 1916
