Briscoe, James Michael

 

 

 

Born 1894 Chudleigh Tasmania the son of Francis and Sarah Briscoe (nee Howe) a miner he embarked Fremantle 19th April 1915 on board “HMAT Argyllshire” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 52nd Battalion when he died 19th October 1917 in Belgium from shrapnel wounds to the thigh and was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
