Brown, Ernest Morton
Born 1890 Mersey Tasmania the son of Robert and Elizabeth Brown (nee Williamson) a labourer he embarked Sydney 13th May 1916 on board “HMAT Beltana” with the 23rd Howitzer Brigade.
He was serving with the 7th Australian Field Artillery Brigade killed in action 26th September 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in The Huts Cemetery, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium
ROLL OF HONOUR The Rev. G. Rowe of Devonport on Saturday had the sad duty of informing Mr. Robert Brown of Wesley Vale, that his son, Private Ernest Morton Brown had been killed in action on September 16th
