Burton, Thomas Albert

Born Hobart Tasmania the son of James Henry and Laura Burton married, a barge man he embarked Sydney 31^st March 1916 on board “HMAT Star of Victoria” with the 8^th Field Company Engineers.

He was serving with the 14^th Field Company Engineers when he was killed in action 30^th October 1917 at Passchendaele Ridge Belgium and is commemorated in the Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
