Burton, Thomas Albert
Born Hobart Tasmania the son of James Henry and Laura Burton married, a barge man he embarked Sydney 31st March 1916 on board “HMAT Star of Victoria” with the 8th Field Company Engineers.
He was serving with the 14th Field Company Engineers when he was killed in action 30th October 1917 at Passchendaele Ridge Belgium and is commemorated in the Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
