BUTLER, EDWARD LIONEL AUSTIN (LEO)
Studio portrait of 2nd Lieutenant (2 Lt) Edward Lionel Austin Butler, 12th Battalion, of Hobart, Tas. A solicitor prior to enlistment, 2 Lt Butler embarked with the 16th Reinforcements from Melbourne on RMS Orontes on 29th March 1916. On 23rd August 1916 he died of wounds received in action and was buried in the Puchevillers British Cemetery, France
