Button, John Joseph

Born 1889 Longford Tasmania to Joseph and Catherine Button (nee Bolton) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 17^th July 1915 on board “HMAT Orsova’ with the 26^th Infantry Battalion for the Gallipoli Peninsula

Cpl Button died 16^th August 1918 at the 55^th Casualty Clearing Station France from a shell wound to the right thigh and was buried in the Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
