Cahill, Alfred Robert

Born 8^th December 1885 Buckland Tasmania the son of John Robert and Eliza Cahill married to Helen Margaret Whitington with two children a farmer he embarked Hobart 8^th August 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 13^th November 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen
