Cantwell Charles Eric
The son of Charles and Jessie Catherine Cantwell (nee Barwick) from Oatlands a 23 year old labourer he embarked Melbourne 8th February 1916 on board “HMAT Warilda with the 12th Infantry Battalion.
He received gunshot wounds to the scrotum and stomach, returned to Australia and was discharged 18th March 1918. He died from his wounds at the 9th Australian General Hospital Hobart 22nd February 1919 and was buried at St. Peter's Anglican Oatlands.
