Carn, Sydney John

 

 

 

  

Born 14th June 1898 Mt Nicholas Fingal Tasmania to Charles George and Mary Ann Carn (nee Targett) and was an engine cleaner.

 

He enlisted Claremont 3rd. October 1916 and embarked “HMAT A38 Ulysses” with the 40th Battalion.

 

On the 25th January 1917 he was admitted to Fargo Hospital, Larkhill where he died from pneumonia 5th February 1917.  He was buried at Durrington Cemetery England.
