Carrington, Bevis Ody

 

 

Born 25th July 1898 St Kilda Victoria but living in Launceston Tasmania when he enlisted, the son of Frederick and Madge Carrington (nee Lees) a clerk he embarked 29th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aeneas” with the 26th Infantry Battalion.

 He was killed in action 5th April 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Dernancourt Communal Cemetery Extension, France.

His brother Frederick Deacon Carrington was killed in action 25th April 1914 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial Gallipoli Turkey.
