Carrington, Bevis Ody

Born 25^th July 1898 St Kilda Victoria but living in Launceston Tasmania when he enlisted, the son of Frederick and Madge Carrington (nee Lees) a clerk he embarked 29^th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aeneas” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 5^th April 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Dernancourt Communal Cemetery Extension, France.

His brother Frederick Deacon Carrington was killed in action 25^th April 1914 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial Gallipoli Turkey.
