Chambers, Leslie Ths. George

 

 

Son of Rev. W.J. and L.E. Chambers, of Rabaul, New Guinea. Native of Raluana, New Britain, Bismarck Archipelago and listed as a schoolteacher but had been living in Tasmania since he was 3 years old.  He had also been a naval reserve for two and a half years. He embarked Hobart with the rank of Sergeant 20th October 1914 on “HMAT Geelong”

 

He was killed in action 3rd November 1917 in Belguim.
