Chapman Lewis Bennie
Born Ulverstone the son of John Sayer and Mary Ann Chapman (nee Haine) a 22 year old blacksmith he enlisted Melbourne and served with the 29th Australian Infantry Battalion.
Sergeant Chapman was killed in action 27th September 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium
