Cheverton, Roy Douglas
Born 1888 Hobart Tasmania the son of William Henry and Kathleen Amelia Cheverton (nee Giblin) a station assistant and clerk he embarked Melbourne 17th September 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 3rd Field Artillery Brigade
He died 9th November 1915 in England from gangrenous enteritis and was buried in the Kensal Green (All Souls') Cemetery, United Kingdom
FOR THE EMPIRE'S CAUSE CHEVERTON. — At King George's Hospital, London, on November 9, 1915, Gunner Roy Douglas Keane, second son of K. M. and the late William Cheverton, of Hobart in the 25th year of his age. Another of Gallipoli's brave heroes gone to rest, leaving a sorrowing mother to mourn the loss of her brave boy.
