WW1
Clark, James
Born Liverpool England a seaman who listed his next of kin as his brother John Clark in England he enlisted Claremont Tasmania on the 17th April 1915 and embarked Brisbane 29th June 1915 with the 26th Infantry Battalion.
He was seriously wounded 18th December 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and died same day on board Hospital ship “Caledonia” from a fractured skull
He is commemorated in the East Mudros Military Cemetery, Lemnos, Greece.
I find it rather sad that no next of kin was found for this soldier and the postcards of his grave etc are still sitting in his file.
